Technical Notes:
Critical Installation Requirements:
- Fluid Specification: Must use Honda HCF-2 CVT fluid exclusively. Do NOT use older Honda CVTF or HMMF (Hybrid Motor Fluid). HCF-2 has specific friction modifiers and viscosity required for the Earth Dreams pulley system; incorrect fluid will cause immediate belt slip and transmission failure.
- Fluid Level Check: Must be performed with the transmission at operating temperature (typically 40°C–50°C) and the engine idling, using the dipstick or overflow check plug.
